Glen Nevis Visitor Centre

The Glen Nevis Visitor Centre is situated 1.5 miles along the Glen Nevis road from the Nevis bridge mini-roundabout.

Glen Nevis Visitor centre, first opened in 1993 as an information point to aid walkers and climbers who intend climb "the Ben" or walk in the Glen.

The centre nowadays is open throughout the year, 9-5 in the spring, summer and autumn and reduced hours in the winter. At the centre you can buy any mountain essentials you might have forgotten, or thought you might not have needed, from climbing jackets to boots to the essential bar of chocolate. Also this weather report is at hand every morning from 9am in the centre and 24 hours a day on our outside monitor.

The staff at the centre are extremely experienced and keen walkers, who can give a wide range of advice to all abilities. It is their knowledge and advice that helps walkers ascend Ben Nevis safely and responsibly. This makes the centre an essential stop of point before you don your boots and head up the Ben.
