Charity Events

All events must book in advance, and abide by code of conduct

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain on the British Isles at 4406 feet, and thousands of pounds are raised each year on its track to the summit.

Approximately 50,000 people each year climb Ben Nevis for charity, many of these in organised groups of up to 200 at any time.

The main mountain track leaves from the Glen Nevis Visitor centre, crosses the river and heads up 5miles to the summit.

The large amount of charity participants adds a huge strain to the facilities at Glen Nevis and also on 'The Ben'.

Because of this a strict booking policy has been put in place by groups accessing the mountain from our site. All groups of 12 or more must endevour to book 18-12 months in advance, by doing this you will ease congestion on the centre grounds and on Ben Nevis.

Anybody wishing to regester and book an event in, must contact Jim Milligan at The Glen Nevis Visitor Centre on 01397705922. or e-mail glen.nevis@highland.gov.uk . Booking form is found on links page.

Follow the charity diary link above and find out what dates are available.

We have our own code of conduct that must be obided by to at all times, any groups not following our code or the "Institute of Fundraising" code, will be reported to the "Fund Raising Standards Board" and booking privlidges will be revoked.

These spectacular landscapes have inspired for generations and are national treasures. Please extend your charity to beyond the worthy cause you are raising money for by respecting these areas and their people
