Glen Nevis Visitor Centre Code of Conduct
Institute of funraising code of conduct must be obided to at all times
• All charities in receipt of donations raised must be members of the FRSB
(Fund Raising Standards Board.).And agree to abide by their code of conduct.
• All event organisers require to be affiliated with the FRSB.
• Maximum group size of 200 (50 vehicles) (being revised)
• Contact Glen Nevis. To confirm availability of dates, before finalising the
event date.
• Groups upwards of 12 participants must pre book event with Glen Nevis
Visitor Centre 12 months in advance.
All groups of 50 + must endeavour to book 18 months in advance
.(12 months minimum).
• The fee structure is revisable year on year and must be met.

• Groups must carry public liability insurance of up to £5 million.
• Participants will be expected to behave in a Courteous manner to the
public at all times.
• The use and location of tents/starting gates/generators/catering equipment etc
must be agreed in advance with V.C. manger prior to event. .
• At no point should public access be obstructed.
• Litter; all groups must do a clean sweep of site before departing.
• Public toilets are available, and through arrangements with the
V.C. manager can be opened out with normal operating hours, no porta loos
will be permitted.
• Chemical cleaning of toilets will be provided by Highland Council contractors.
Groups are encouraged to clean toilets without the use of chemicals.
• Participants will be expected to behave in a Courteous manner to the
public at all times.
• Any groups who fail to comply with this code or the
“Scottish Outdoor Access Code”, either on Ben Nevis or in Visitor Centre
grounds, will have booking privileges revoked and reported to the FRSB.
